Recently, I happen to read an article about blogging habits of Corporate CEOs. The article wonders why many CEOs don't blog? Is it fear of saying too much? fear of backlashing? etc., CEOs may feel that their writings can be misinterpreted in this Stock market driven world by Journalists, Stock brokers, Market analysts etc., The fear is true to a certain extend, still I feel through blogging we can connect to people directly compared to any other media. We can express our opinion on many topics, which will directly express the mind of head of the company. If CEO doesn't the blog to be public, s/he can write the blog that is available only to the employees. Corporate world should encourage these kind of ideas more. I happen to read a blog by a CEO, Sridhar Vembu of AdventNet. Interesting and thought provoking.. For the viewers, here is is the blog.

வணங்கி வழியனுப்புகிறோம்
சென்ற வாரத்தில் இரு தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர்களின் மரணம்..
மரண தேவனுக்கு கதை சொல்ல ஆட்கள் தட்டுப்பாடு போலிருக்கிறது..
நான் ரொம்ப அதிகமாக தமிழ் இலக்கியங்கள்/நாவல்கள் படித்தது கிடையாது.
இருந்தாலும் நான் படித்ததில் பிடித்த ஒரு எழுத்தாளர் சுஜாதா.. எனக்கு அவருடைய எழுத்து நடை மிகவும் எளிதாக, புரியும்படியாக இருக்கும்.. நிறைய விஷயங்களை தெரிந்து கொள்ள முடியும். ஒரு மெல்லிய ஹாசியம் ததும்பும். அவருடைய இழப்பைப் பற்றி விஷயம் தெரிந்த நிறைய பேர் எழுதி விட்டார்கள்/ பேசி விட்டார்கள்.
சுஜாதா!! நீங்கள் மறைந்தாலும் உங்கள் எழுத்தால் நீங்கள் பல்லாண்டு காலம்
நீடூடி வாழ்வீர்கள். உங்களால் தமிழ் உலகு கற்றதும் பெற்றதும் அதிகம். உங்களுக்கு தமிழ் கூறும் நல்லுலகு என்றும் கடமை பட்டு இருக்கிறது.
அடுத்த மரணம். ஸ்டெல்லா ப்ரூஸ் அவர்களுடையது. இவருடைய எழுத்தை நான் மிக அதிகமாக படித்தது இல்லை. ஆனால் விகடனில் அவருடைய தற்கொலை பற்றி படித்த போது மிகவும் கஷ்டமாக இருந்தது. வெறும் 10 பேர்தான் மரணத்துக்கு வந்தனர் என்னும்பொழுது இன்னும் கஷ்டமாக இருந்தது. பாரதிக்கே அந்த நிலைமை என்னும்பொழுது ஸ்டெல்லா எம்மாத்திரம். ஸ்டெல்லாவுடைய மனைவியின் மேல் அவர் வைத்து இருந்த பாசம் மிகவும் ஆச்சர்யப்பட வைத்தது.

2007 - The Best TV show
இந்தியாவில் இருக்கும்பொழுது பொதுவாக நான் டிவி பார்ப்பதில்லை. அதற்காக டிவி நிகழ்ச்சிகளைப் பிடிக்காது என்று இல்லை.. இப்பொழுது திருமணம் ஆன பிறகு அதிகமாக டிவி பார்க்க ஆரம்பித்து விட்டேன். அதற்கு கண்டிப்பாக என் மனைவி காரணம் இல்லை. என்னுடைய சோம்பல் அதிகம் ஆகி விட்டது. அதுதான் உண்மையான காரணம். I just wanted to rate the best show I watched in 2007. கண்டிப்பா அது நீயா நானா from விஜய் டிவி. The credit goes to both Director and Gopinath, who conducts the show. நிறைய contradiction topics எடுத்துட்டு ஒரு பிரச்னை இல்லாம சுவாரஸ்யமா கொண்டு போறாங்க. Let us see how they are performing in 2008.

Old values???
I was surfing about the Test match between India and Australia. I am an avid reader of all cricket news, which takes most of my free time. When Kumble came to bowl, there were loud cheers in the ground. What makes people like Kumble so popular? Yes, He has undoubted talent, skill which makes him to be one among the top rated cricketers in the world. Yet, he doesn't have charming poster boy image like Rahul/Dhoni. He doesn't know how to intimidate opposition like Ganguly. He doesn't have any endorsement value like Sachin.
What makes him to be rated high among his contemporaries?
Why people are seeing him as a legend and hearing his words without any questions?
Traditionally, we have been taught that way to success in life is by means of dedication and hard work. This guys is a shining example for that.. He will do his work and don't expect much in return.. Though he is an eligible candidate for Captaincy, it came very late to him unlike his other counterparts.. Still, he has always done his job well for India..
Hats off to Kumble and other successful people who still believe in Old values like Dedication, Hard work!!!!
Even now, I am sure Kumble will be striving very hard to get the breakthrough wicket that India is looking for..
